Teacher Education

The Global Dimension Project organises four annual conferences by year group for BEd and PGCE students.  The annual conferences give students time to improve their knowledge and understanding of global issues and opportunities to reflect on their own values and attitudes in relation to injustice, poverty, human rights, sustainable development and diversity.

Conferences include workshop sessions facilitated by locally based Non-Governmental Organisations, statutory bodies and others experienced in the field of development education. These practical workshops give students the opportunity for discussion and debate and experienced development educators model good practice and share ideas using participative methodologies for incorporating global issues into class teaching.
