The College values all its employees and recognises the significant contribution that they make to St Mary’s. We acknowledge the importance of a healthy work-life balance. For this reason the College currently offers enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay for eligible employees plus a Childcare voucher scheme.  The College will also consider fully requests for flexible working arrangements where these are compatible with College needs. It is recognised that time off will also be needed occasionally to care for dependants and for other family circumstances.

The College recognises that from time to time employees will be absent due to sickness. Our policy aims to provide a fair and consistent framework which is sensitive, prompt and promotes a ‘positive attendance culture’ within the College. Additionally the College has launched an Employee Assistance Programme to provide independent support as required.
