St Mary’s Performing Arts Society staged “Mamma Mary,” an energetic and joy-filled musical that united students, staff, and alumni in a celebration of creativity and community. The production highlighted student leadership, collaboration, and the transformative impact of the arts on campus life.

St Mary’s University College Principal, Professor Peter Finn, congratulated members of the Áisaonad team of staff on receiving three Gold medals in this year’s Glór na nGael GRADAIM Business Awards. The awards are presented to businesses across Ireland in the categories of Service through Irish, Signage, and Branding/Marketing. The Gold medal represents the highest distinction which can be attained.

St Mary’s College introduced an Alpha Programme, offering students a welcoming space to explore life’s big questions, faith, and purpose. Through open dialogue and reflection, participants discovered new perspectives and deeper understanding, embodying the college’s ethos of Liturgy, Learning, and Life in Dialogue.

St Mary’s University College welcomed HSC NI Foster Care staff and a foster carer to raise awareness about fostering and its positive impact on children and young people. The event highlighted opportunities for involvement and announced a follow-up session on trauma and ACEs in January.

CSTS hosted an RSE training at St Mary’s University College, introducing Living Love, a new digital resource for Catholic post-primary schools that promotes a values-based approach to relationships and sexuality education.

St Mary’s College hosted a vibrant Trad Session to raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestine. The event featured music, dance, and strong community spirit, highlighting solidarity and compassion amid the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Staff, students, and supporters came together to make the day a memorable success.

Year 2 World Around Us students took part in a highly interactive and enjoyable Trócaire workshop facilitated by Development Education Officer, Laura Rio Fernández.

Queen’s University Belfast marked the opening of Ukrainian Week with a special event at the Great Hall, featuring a new partnership with the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies and discussions on the challenges facing Ukraine’s education system amid the war.
