Thank you to John Kelly CEO of McConnell’s Irish Whiskey Company, Eimear Callaghan Head of Experience and Industry Development at Tourism NI and Jonathan Gallagher Director of Marketing at Lough Erne Resort who all presented as part of our ‘Inspiring Insights’ series of talks to our first year Liberal Arts students.
It allowed our students to hear firsthand from three passionate people who shared great insights into lessons they learned and meaningful advice in relation to their career pathway.
✅ John shared his passion for the drinks industry, his own outstanding career journey as well as the positivity of the McConnell’s story transforming A Wing of Crumlin Road Gaol into one of Belfast’s leading visitor destinations. John also shared the importance of work life balance and to seize the opportunity for international travel as part of your development as well as the values and behaviour important to him.
✅ Eimear shared with our students her passion for the tourism industry, her own journey with Tourism NI as well as the opportunities that tourism offers with the growing visitor numbers coming to the province. Eimear provided outstanding advice for our students including the importance of following your passion in life.
✅ Jonathan provided our Liberal Arts with a great insight into what it takes to be successful and his own journey of marketing a premier hotel brand. He highlighted the importance of standing out from the crowd and how connections and collaboration can make such a positive difference.
